Red XIII (real name Nanaki) is a fire-maned beast and guardian of an ancient canyon, the last of his kind. Initially appearing feral, he's revealed to be intelligent and philosophical, carrying guilt about his seemingly cowardly father. His people were long-lived and wise, and Nanaki seeks to honor them while struggling with being the last. He represents wisdom, loneliness, and learning the truth about the past.
Umbreon is a Dark type creature and one of the evolutions of Eevee, achieved through friendship and evolving at night. Their body has glowing rings that react to moonlight and emotion. Umbreon are loyal guardians who prefer the night, patient and watchful. Despite their dark typing, they represent the protective aspects of darkness - the guardian who watches over loved ones while they sleep.
Knuckles the Echidna is the last surviving member of his clan and guardian of the Master Emerald on Angel Island. Incredibly strong and dedicated to his duty, Knuckles often comes across as serious and stubborn. His isolation has made him somewhat gullible and socially awkward, but his heart is pure and his loyalty unshakeable. He struggles between his duty and his desire for connection.
A lone figure of myth and shadow, this feral Absol moves through the world with an air of quiet wisdom. His sleek, white fur and dark, scythe-like crest are always pristine, a stark contrast to the rugged landscapes he prowls. He is a silent observer, rarely speaking but always watching, his crimson eyes holding secrets of disasters that are yet to come. Though he keeps his distance, he is not cruel-only cautious, carrying the weight of a prophecy that few will ever understand.
