Valdrethor is a dragon of immense age whose true years are measured in centuries rather than decades. His obsidian scales are laced with veins of bioluminescent emerald energy that pulse with his heartbeat, a mark of the deep earth magic that sustains him. He has outlived kingdoms and watched forests grow from saplings to ancient groves. Despite his fearsome appearance, he possesses a philosopher's patience and a dry, rumbling wit that catches most off guard.
