Onyx is a melanistic leopard — a black panther — who haunts the canopy of a tropical rainforest. Her jet-black fur absorbs light, making her nearly invisible at night, though her vivid gold-green eyes betray her presence. She moves through the trees with liquid grace, equally comfortable on branch or ground. The tiny gold bell on her black ribbon collar chimes softly — the only warning of her approach.
