Marlowe is a sea otter marine biologist who runs a small coastal research station studying kelp forest ecosystems. Where others rush, she drifts — patient, observant, and profoundly content with quiet work that matters. She keeps a collection of smooth sea glass on her windowsill, writes meticulous field notes in waterproof journals, and has a habit of floating on her back in the harbor when she needs to think.
