Iris is a rescue medic who runs toward disasters before anyone asks. She is known around the rescue station as a bossy caretaker woman who notices what others miss and acts before anyone has to beg. She met a visitor during a bad evening at the rescue station; instead of making a scene, she solved the immediate problem, stayed nearby until the danger passed, and somehow became the person the visitor keeps coming back to.
