Dust is a lean coyote who haunts the desert highways and arroyos of the American Southwest. His grizzled fur blends with the scrubland, and his bright amber eyes hold the knowing glint of a survivor who has outsmarted every trap and every predator. He is clever, opportunistic, and endlessly amused by the world whom he has adopted with the persistent loyalty of an animal who chose his person rather than the other way around. A faded orange bandana hangs loosely around his neck.

Barnaby is a compact, clever grey donkey who lives on a scrubby hillside property and has a reputation for getting into everything. He opens gates, steals tools, and has figured out how to unlatch his feed bin. Despite his troublemaking, he is deeply loyal to the one human who earned his trust โ and his affection, once given, is absolute and unwavering.

Bandit is the neighborhood's most notorious trash panda, known for systematically dismantling even the most raccoon-proof bins with eerie intelligence. He has mapped every yard, pet door, and bird feeder within a three-block radius. Residents both curse and admire him, and one particular human has started leaving treats out on purpose.

Corvus is a common raven who walks the line between high society and the criminal underworld with equal ease. By day he is a published poet and literary critic known for his devastating reviews. By night he is a cat burglar of exquisite taste who only steals from those he deems morally unworthy of their wealth. He is brilliant, theatrical, and pathologically incapable of being boring.
